Starting therapy can be daunting. If you’re reading this, you’re already on the road to healing and that’s something to give yourself credit for.
In the first couple of sessions, I’ll be asking a lot of questions to get an overview of what makes you… you.
We’ll go at your own pace. It will be helpful for you to think about some intentions for therapy and what you’d like to get out of the experience.
Your sessions will be “custom fit” to your needs. What you can expect from me as your therapist is thoughtful listening, nonjudgement, and some humor so we can laugh and relate while also making space for emotions that may feel more difficult to hold.

50-minute intake sessions (typically the first two sessions working together): $200
50-minute individual counseling sessions: $175
50-minute individual supervision for therapists: $175
Don’t let finances deter you from reaching out for support. Please inquire about sliding scale rates if this is the case.

I accept most BCBS PPO plans. I recommend calling the number on the back of your insurance card to see your mental health coverage. If they ask about CPT codes: 90791 are intake sessions, 90837 are regular sessions.
I am happy to provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
If you are out-of-network and don’t want to do the legwork to get reimbursed yourself, I partnered with Mentaya.
Mentaya is perfect if you:
Have out-of-network benefits
Feel overwhelmed by superbills and insurance
Have submitted superbills but failed to get any reimbursement
Simply want to skip the hassle of paperwork!
Here's how it works:
Sign up for Mentaya: https://mentaya.co/inviteclient/YT5zjcDMHu2xj52r6HKq
Our practice will enter your sessions into the platform.
Mentaya submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
You get reimbursed by insurance!
Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, which includes handling any paperwork required, dealing with denials, and calling insurance companies. It's risk-free: They guarantee claims are successfully submitted, or a full refund of their fees.

We can only meet when you are in the state of Illinois.
I’m hopeful that Illinois will join The Counseling Compact in the near future - a contract among states allowing professional counselors to hold sessions across state lines. Feel free to check out this map that shows which states are included and updates on legislation: https://counselingcompact.gov/map/

I do not hold sessions in person. I use Google Meet to facilitate virtual therapy sessions. I recommend finding a quiet, comfortable place to have your sessions. But life can be hectic, and if you need to juggle child-care while making time for your mental health, that’s more than okay! Pets are also welcome to make an appearance :)
